Racing at Aintree doesn’t happen every day, so when it does, it’s always a special occasion. Home of the John Smith’s Grand National, Aintree is one of the world’s most famous racecourses. With over two miles of luscious green racetrack, and horse racing’s biggest stars taking to this jumps only course, racing here is always a sight to behold at one of Aintree’s six other racedays outside of the Grand National meeting.
Racing at Aintree has taken place since 1839, so it's not only a racecourse steeped in history and tradition, but there are lots of exciting new developments too. With a new Parade Ring, Weighing Room, and two new state of the art Grandstands, a visit to Aintree delivers a 21st century racing experience like no other.

Fabulous Friday Nights at Aintree
The first of a series of three new summer race evenings for Aintree in 2008, where top class racing is teamed with fantastic live music with 'The Stars From The Commitments' on stage in the Aintree Pavilion following racing. It’s the ideal way to get in the mood for the fun summer months ahead.
First Race: 5.45pm
NB The Stars From The Commitments will play for 60 minutes following racing.
The second night in Aintree’s new series of summer racing and music evenings sees McFly entertain racegoers after an evening of top class racing.
First Race: 6pm
NB McFly will play for up to 90 minutes following racing in the Aintree Pavilion
It's 'Madness' at Aintree's final race night in Aintree’s series of summer race meetings, where top class racing is teamed with fantastic live music and entertainment with Madness performing following racing on stage.
First Race: 6.20pm
